• Check the market, brand, aspirin, labelled amount per tablet, enteric-coated form and actual pack together. The U.S. material is 81 mg per tablet; the dated Mainland-China brand material is 100 mg per tablet in 30- or 90-tablet packs. Neither number is an individual's daily tablet count, and their similarity does not permit self-conversion, extra tablets, alternate-day rotation or substitution.
• The label notes delayed action for this enteric-coated product; that does not mean “stronger,” suitable for every heart concern, or appropriate for symptoms needing rapid relief. Do not self-add, alternate or substitute an antiplatelet, anticoagulant or pain product because of the words “aspirin,” “low dose” or similar package colours.
• The label flags stomach-bleeding questions especially for people age 60 or older, those with ulcer or bleeding history, people using an anticoagulant or steroid, other NSAID-containing products, or substantial daily alcohol.
