Source-linked reading points
- μg (also mcg) means micrograms; mg means milligrams. 500 μg = 0.5 mg and 250 μg = 0.25 mg. Unit conversion explains strength, not your tablet count.
- Have the prescribed amount, frequency and actual strength checked together. “Half a milligram” is not an instruction to halve a tablet or substitute injections or granules.
- The Japanese label cautions against continuing for over a month without benefit. Arrange reassessment rather than increasing the dose or assuming all numbness is vitamin deficiency.
- The Japanese patient guide lists appetite loss, nausea, vomiting and diarrhoea among possible effects. Contact a clinician or pharmacist about new or unusual symptoms.
