- Check the brand, edoxaban, target market, 15/30/60 mg strength per tablet, pack, NDC or local authorisation record together. A shared ingredient name does not make U.S. SAVAYSA, EU LIXIANA, Japanese リクシアナ or another market pack interchangeable.
- Have the prescriber or pharmacist review renal function, body weight, age, liver status, planned surgery/dental work/lumbar puncture, falls, and a complete medicine list containing every prescription, non-prescription product and supplement. Other anticoagulants, antiplatelets, thrombolytics, some pain medicines and some antidepressants may increase bleeding risk; do not self-combine, alternate or space them.
