• Check the full trade name, generic name, 40 or 80 mg per tablet, film-coated oral-tablet form, actual NDC, package and target market together. 40 mg and 80 mg identify two exact tablets; they are not a web rule for individual tablet count, reduction, make-up use or treatment course.
• The U.S. label states that these tablets may be dispersed in water under its specific instructions but should not be crushed. This product-specific wording does not mean another oral oncology medicine, another-market pack or any swallowing difficulty can be handled the same way; have a pharmacist or prescriber review the actual product and prescription.
• EGFR-mutation, testing and disease-stage wording in the label defines the populations in that U.S. document. It does not mean every person with lung disease should have the same test, and it does not let a webpage interpret an individual's result, decide treatment or direct self-adjustment. Bring the original testing report, pathology material and full medicine list to the oncology team.
