- Do not break, chew, dissolve, cut or crush the capsule. Release in the mouth can cause temporary oral or throat anaesthesia and choking. For swallowing difficulty, do not self-convert it to a liquid, squeeze it out or mix it with food; ask a pharmacist to review an available alternative.
- If the tongue, mouth, throat or face becomes numb or tingles, avoid food and liquids until the numbness resolves to reduce choking risk. Worsening, persistent symptoms or breathing difficulty requires immediate medical care.
- Accidental child ingestion has caused death. Overdose features can begin within 15–20 minutes and death has been reported within one hour. Do not watch and wait after any child ingestion or suspected overdose; immediately contact local emergency or poison services.
