• New reduced vision, visual disturbance or eye pain may signal an urgent eye problem. The label warns that untreated secondary angle-closure glaucoma can cause permanent visual loss. Do not wait for a website judgment or choose a stopping speed yourself; seek prompt professional care.
• Topiramate can lower serum bicarbonate and cause metabolic acidosis. Kidney disease, severe respiratory disorders, diarrhoea, a ketogenic diet or other acidosis-producing medicines can add risk.
