- For example, 5 mg/500 mg means 5 mg dapagliflozin and 500 mg metformin HCl in each tablet. The two figures are not morning/evening amounts, not a comparable 505 mg strength and not directly comparable with another medicine's milligrams.
- The label requires swallowing whole and says not to crush, cut or chew. A soft mass resembling the tablet can occasionally appear in stool from inactive ingredients, but the site cannot use that observation to judge an individual's absorption or make-up use.
- One tablet already contains dapagliflozin and metformin. FARXIGA, dapagliflozin, GLUCOPHAGE, metformin, JANUMET or another glucose-lowering combination on the same list is a shared-ingredient cue requiring review; do not self-combine, alternate or stop a pack.
- The label covers lactic acidosis, ketoacidosis, volume depletion/hypotension, kidney function, genitourinary infection, surgery and iodinated contrast. Breathing difficulty, severe weakness, persistent vomiting, marked altered awareness, severe abdominal pain or another acute serious concern requires local emergency help with every medicine pack.
