- Check brand, generic name, delayed-release form, exact strength and target market together. Capsule and oral-suspension granules, concentration, measuring device and handling requirements must not be inferred or exchanged simply because both say esomeprazole or show the same mg number.
- “Delayed release” is part of product identity. Opening, mixing with a food or liquid, chewing, crushing or dividing must return to the current label and pharmacist guidance for the exact product; do not transfer experience from another ordinary tablet, capsule or previous pack.
- Products such as NEXIUM, PRILOSEC and PREVACID are not self-combinable, alternatable or substitutable merely because their names or purposes relate to gastric acid. A pharmacist or prescribing team needs to review the complete medicine list, symptom changes, prior conditions and actual packages item by item.
- With persistent or recurrent symptoms, difficulty swallowing, vomiting blood/black stools or uncertainty about how to use an exact formulation, use timely local medical-support pathways; a webpage cannot replace cause assessment or prescription adjustment.
